three years.
What's more, they are a right mixed
bag! Ex- footballers, a doctor, teachers, a scientist, a
purchasing manager, a few electricians, a plumber, a builder, a
hotel manager, a waiter, a lawyer, students and school children
are all to be found in our membership.
You'll not only find players from
all over Fife - St. Andrews and Crail in the East, to Burntisland
in the West, but from all over the world -Spain, Bulgaria,
Australia, America and Hong Kong!
We've players of all ages, from
eight through to retired. You'll also find players of all
abilities, from experts graded over 2000 to relative novices.
So, whatever your standard, you will find players of a similar
strength to play against and stronger players to assist you in
improving your game.
Many of the games we play are sent
in to Chess Scotland for 'grading'. These games, along with
any games you play in congresses or leagues, determine the grade
you are awarded at the end of season. Regular updates are
